Empowering Excellence Through Capacity Building

At GSS, we hold the belief that capacity-building is a continual journey dedicated to strengthening and enriching the skills, abilities, processes, and resources essential for our members to not only succeed but thrive in the ever-evolving academic landscape.

  • At GSS, we are committed to supporting members at all levels, helping them on their research and journey through success with funding for every stage of their career.

We will identify and bid for funding from the Bretton Woods Institutions, the African Union, the private sector, and Ghanaian and other funded projects globally.

Our team of subject matter experts are available to provide advisory services on managerial practices, policy exchanges and knowledge transfer partnerships.

  • GSS helps and supports its members to maximise their opportunities and plan a successful career path.

  • The capacity-building team within the Society aims to organise quarterly and annual programmes and workshops aimed at enhancing performance and improving the quality of decision-making.

At GSS, we find ways to support the career progression of its members in several ways by sharing job advertisements and ideas that enhance each other’s progress.

To fulfil this objective, GSS organises seminars, roundtables, workshops and conferences globally

  • Professionals also acquire knowledge through socialisation through activities such as meetings, informal gatherings and informal conversations.

A vital approach to learning through ssocialisation is the community of practice-a self-organised group of individuals with similar interests or passion for what they do, who communicate to share their knowledge and experience regularly.
